Go to Settings > Payments
Click Connect Payment Provider
Select Stax
Log in to your Stax account (or create one)
Authorize CalendarPA to access your Stax account
Complete the connection
Once connected:
Edit your booking type
Go to Pricing & Payments
Enable Require payment
Select Stax as the payment provider
Choose payment flow:
- Immediate capture - Charge immediately (like Stripe)
- Two-step authorization - Hold funds, capture later
Set your pricing
Save changes
How it works:
When booking: Client's card is authorized for the amount
- Funds are held but not yet charged
- Client sees pending charge
Before event: Payment is automatically captured
- Default: 24 hours before event
- Customizable in Stax settings
If cancelled: Authorization is released
- Client's funds are unfrozen
- No charge occurs
Reduces no-shows (card is already authorized)
Protects against cancellations
Aligns payment with service delivery
Better cash flow management
Stax automatically collects:
Street address
City, State, ZIP
Country
