When you use time variables like {event_time}, {event_date}, or {event_end_time} in workflow emails or SMS, CalendarPA renders them in the recipient's own timezone — not UTC.
| Recipient | Timezone used |
|-----------|--------------|
| Host (NOTIFY_HOST step) | Your profile timezone (Settings → Profile) |
| Invitee (WHEN_BOOKED, reminders, etc.) | The timezone the invitee selected when booking |
If a single workflow step targets both host and invitee, CalendarPA sends two separate emails so each person sees times in their own local zone.
| Variable | Example output |
|----------|---------------|
| {event_date} | Thursday, May 15, 2025 |
| {event_time} | 4:30 PM |
| {event_end_time} | 5:30 PM |
No. All existing workflows automatically render times correctly. No changes are required on your end.
Check your profile timezone — Go to Settings → Profile and confirm your timezone is set correctly. This is the timezone used for host-facing emails.
Check the booking timezone — The invitee's timezone is set at booking time. If the invitee selected the wrong timezone when booking, their email will reflect that timezone.
SMS messages — SMS time variables also use per-recipient timezone rendering.
